The X350 was the third generation of Jaguar's legendary XJ line, and ran from 2003 to 2009. Designed by Tom Owen and Sandy Boyes under the watchful eye of Ian Callum, the lines were designed to be an evocative and modern take on the original XJ of 1968. The X350 introduced a number of significant advances for the XJ, including a full aluminium monocoque body and self-levelling adaptive air suspension. Importantly, the bodyshell was 40% lighter and 50% stiffer than its X300/308 predecessor, resulting in improved fuel efficiency and torsional rigidity.
This head-turning example of the X350 series is an XJ8 3.5, finished in Quartz metallic with a light grey leather interior complemented by burr walnut timber trim in the true Jaguar tradition. It was delivered new by Denlo Jaguar in Parramatta in February 2004, and is a genuine one-owner vehicle with just 123,892km on the odometer.
