The all-new C215 hardtop coupé range was launched in February 2000, alongside its sedan sibling in W/V220-series S-Class form. Designed by Australian Peter Arcadipane in collaboration with Daimler-Benz design legend Bruno Sacco, the C215 is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful coupés ever produced by the Stuttgart marque. Its flowing, elegant lines and distinctive proportions paid homage to past classics like the W111 coupé, while presenting a thoroughly modern and unique presence on the road at the turn of the century.
This stunning April 2002-complied CL500 is finished in Zircon Silver (code 744) with a charcoal perforated leather interior, complemented by rich burr walnut timber trim throughout the cabin. It has travelled just 141,535km and was delivered new by Mercedes-Benz McIntosh of Mosman. It comes complete with its original factory literature, spare remote key, owner's wallet and service log book. The log book reflects a fastidious service history, with maintenance carried out exclusively by the selling dealer through to 2022, and subsequently by respected independent specialists.
This CL500 was retained by its original owner until late 2024, having relocated to Queensland in 2021, where it received two additional services before being acquired by a Mercedes-Benz enthusiast in Sydney.
