This 1988-built and complied Toyota FJ62 Landcruiser is an extraordinary survivor of a bygone era, when 4WDs were built tough, rugged and without all the luxury add-ons demanded by the mostly-urban SUV buyer of 2022. These FJ62s were built to do a job, and to do it reliably, cost-effectively and with a minimum of fuss. This particular Glacier White example is a GX (Deluxe), and was delivered by Southern Highlands Toyota in Moss Vale to an owner in Dapto who held it for many years. It comes compete with its original factory literature, spare key and service log book. It has covered 264,838km from new and remains in highly original and unmolested condition. It is powered by the 3F 4.0L six-cylinder petrol motor, which develops 110kW of power/284Nm of torque and drives through a 5-speed manual transmission. A transfer case allows the driver to select 4WD high or low range on demand, with a flick of the switches on the free-wheeling front hubs. The paint is in excellent condition for its age, and the original body striping remains firmly intact.
